Not really Chris... The idea is simply to have one place where members can ask for skills, products, services, advice or help that they need - and group members choose to receive an e-mail when a member wants something.

It's an attempt to encourage business between members, but without any rules or restrictions. It can work well if you’re looking to source something locally, but aren’t sure where to look.

I didn't have any plans to arrange meetings in person, but there's no reason why not, if there's an appetite for getting together. I have seen sites where groups are created by a member in order to arrange a weekly or monthly meeting in a coffee shop or bar. I suppose that if you wanted to you could try setting up a group specifically to meet other members face-to-face.
