Advice on Competitors using underhand techniques to disrupt my business

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone can provide a bit of advice or point me in the right direction, it seems that one of my competitors has decided to use some sneaky tactics to disrupt my business by using my primary contact email and personal details to sign up for lots of silly email offers, as you can imagine once these things start they are very difficult to stop and it therefore becomes time consuming and annoying to get to real enquiries of which I get about 5 - 10 per day.

I have requested the ip address of the person filling in these forms and should hear from the IT depts in the next few days but then once I have proof of who is doing this I am unsure as to what legal action i can take against them, if any.

If anyone has any experience of this can you please let me know or give me any advice, thanks.

Report them to their ISP. Once you have the IP address you should be able to see who their provider is. Use www.dnsstuff.com (use the Free Tools).

I am now getting up to 10 calls per day offering me the change to invest in stocks, enter the irish lottery, have liposuction oe eye surgery.

This is getting beyond a joke but I have a lead on who this is and the wheels of justice will be rolling soon.

If your number is on their list companies are not legally allowed to spam you by telephone.

Hope you get it sorted. Sounds like a nightmare.
